Starting from February 1, 2021, the fee for using the Ozon Marketplace platform will change. We have eliminated the minimum commission and reduced the sales commission. We have also expanded the categories to make it even easier for you to plan your costs. At the same time, we have abolished the uniform rates for delivery and return. Now the payment for the delivery or return of products consists of several components and fully reflects our costs for the execution of the order.

We transfer you the delivery cost if you deliver orders by third-party services. The cost of delivery is:

  • for the delivery of ordinary products:
    • to a pick-up point — 0 rubles;
    • by courier — 50 rubles;
  • for the delivery of bulky products — 700 rubles.

# Returns and cancellations

Depending on the time when the customer declined the product, we distinguish three types of operations: return, non-purchase, cancellation by the customer. Accruals depend on the type of operation.

Return:

  • A customer received a package. The products from the shipment moved to the status Delivered.
  • A customer returned the product later (not at the time of receipt).
  • At the time of return:
    • we write off the cost of returned products;
    • we return the previously withheld commission.
  • We charge after products returned to the warehouse (FBO) or when ready for delivery (FBS):
    • FBO: return processing;
    • FBS: return pipeline, return processing.

Non-purchase:

  • The customer did not buy the products in the shipment or bought only a part of the products. The purchased products moved to the status Delivered.
  • Non-purchased products moved to the status Cancelled and were returned to the warehouse or prepared for transfer to the seller.
  • We charge on non-purchased products:
    • FBO: order packaging, pipeline, non-purchase processing;
    • FBS: pipeline, return pipeline, non-purchase processing.
  • We do not charge on non-purchased products: last mile.

Cancellation by the customer or unclaimed:

  • The customer declined the shipment. The shipment moved to the status Cancelled.
  • The customer did not pick up the shipment. The shipment became unclaimed and automatically moved to the status Cancelled.
  • The shipment is returned to the warehouse or prepared for delivery to the seller.
  • We charge:
    • FBO: order packaging, pipeline, cancellation or unclaiming processing;
    • FBS: shipment processing, pipeline, return pipeline, cancellation or unclaiming processing (you pay for handling the shipment, not each product separately, because we do not open the shipment).
  • We do not charge: last mile.

# Pipeline tariffs

Pipeline tariffs are calculated by cluster, in rubles/kg of volume weight. VAT is included.

If you use FBO scheme, until the end of June, we will not take money for the pipeline throughout Russia from any warehouse, except Moscow and Tver.

To Yakutia and Kaliningrad, we deliver products from warehouses in Tver and Khorugvino. Therefore, we do not charge money for the transportation of products between these clusters.

Ozon warehouses correspond to clusters:

  • Khorugvino — Moscow and Moscow region;
  • Kazan — Kazan;
  • Rostov-on-Don — Krasnodar;
  • Saint Petersburg — Saint Petersburg and North-West;
  • Tver — Center, Yakutia, Kaliningrad;
  • Yekaterinburg — Yekaterinburg;
  • Novosibirsk — Novosibirsk, Khabarovsk.

# How to calculate the volumetric weight

Volumetric weight is a calculated value that allows you to take into account both the volume of the product and its mass. We use volumetric weight to calculate the cost of shipments' delivery.

To calculate the volumetric weight, divide the volume of the product in liters by 5 and compare it with the mass of the product in kg. Select a larger value. This will be the volumetric weight.

Example 1

Product volume — 11.5 liters. Product weight — 3.1 kg.

Calculation of the cost by volume: 11.5 l / 5 = 2.3 kg

Choose a larger value. In this case, this is the value by the weight of the product. The volumetric weight is 3.1 kg.

Example 2

Product volume — 21 liters. Product weight — 3.8 kg.

Calculation of the cost by volume: 21 l / 5 = 4.2 kg

Choose a larger value. In this case, this is the value by the volume of the product. The volumetric weight is 4.2 kg.

# Cost of storage

The cost of storage is calculated for each category and depends on the average daily volume of products in the warehouse and turnover. It is calculated by the formula:

Cost of storage for the reporting period by category = Average daily volume of products in a warehouse by category (l) × Number of calendar days in the reporting period (days) × Storage tariff by category (rubles/l/day)

  • Average daily volume of products in a warehouse by category. The volume of products in a warehouse for each category is calculated every day, measured in liters. For the calculation for the reporting period, the average value by day is taken. The average daily volume of products in a warehouse includes discounted items. Does not include surpluses, defected products, and returns that are not returned for sale.
  • Number of calendar days in the reporting period. For the calculation for the first half of the month, 14 days are taken, for the second — 16 or 17 days (14 or 15 days for February), depending on the number of days in the month. The period coincides with the payment period under the contract.
  • Storage tariff. The storage tariff depends on the turnover of products by category.

The turnover of products by category is calculated by the formula:

Turnover of products by category = Average daily volume of products in a warehouse by category (l) / Average daily sales by category (l/d)

  • Average daily sales by category. The sales volume of products for each category is calculated everyday. Sales are counted by shipments and are measured in liters per day. For the calculation for the reporting period, the average value by day is taken.

# Storage tariff

From February 15 to March 31, 2021, you do not need to pay for the storage of clothing, shoes and accessories if the turnover is less than 150 days. If the turnover is more than 150 days, the cost of storage is calculated as usual.

Storage tariffs are indicated in rubles per liter per day. VAT is included.

The cost of storage for the reporting period by category = 770 l × 14 days × 0.2 rubles/l/day = 2156 rubles.

Example 2

  • Average daily volume of products in a warehouse by category: 514 l
  • Product category: Books
  • Turnover by category: 70 days
  • Reporting period from July 1 to July 14: 14 days

The cost of storage for the reporting period by category = 514 l × 14 days × 0 rubles/l/day = 0 rubles.

# Cost of delivery and return of bulky products

Only for sale from your own warehouse.

Bulky products are considered to have a package size from 180 cm to 250 cm on the long side and at the same time up to 220 cm in width and from 80 cm to 120 cm in depth, or weighing from 25 kg to 160 kg.

The cost of delivery of bulky products is 333 rubles (400 rubles with VAT) per item.

The cost of returning of bulky products is 333 rubles (400 rubles with VAT) per item.

# Surplus processing

Only for sale from the Ozon warehouse.

If you deliver more products than you specified in the integrated delivery note (UPD-2), you will have to take back the surplus. The cost of processing the surplus is 100 rubles (120 rubles with VAT) per item.

# Processing of shipments sent in violation of deadlines

For the processing of each shipment, the delivery time of which is violated, you will soon need to pay an additional 42 rubles (50 rubles with VAT). We will inform you about the exact start date of billing later.

# Products preparation for removal by the seller

Only for sale from the Ozon warehouse.

For the preparation of each product that you want to pick up from the warehouse, you need to pay extra. The cost of preparation for removal is 50 rubles (60 rubles with VAT) per item.

# Vehicle ride to the address of the seller for the pick-up of shipments

Only for sale from your own warehouse.

If you hand over products to the Ozon courier, a fee of 1190 rubles (1428 rubles including VAT) is charged for each arrival of the courier. If the courier picks up more than 140 items, a fee of 10 rubles (12 rubles including VAT) is charged for each additional item.

The arrival of the courier is chargeable, even if you:

  • Received only 1 order and collected it in your personal account, but you did not have time to prepare it for shipment and you will not hand over it to the courier.
  • Transfer only 1 order or shipment.
  • Did not print out the acceptance certificate.

To prevent the courier from arriving, cancel the order or shipment the day before courier arrival before 19:00. Cancellations of orders and shipments affect your service quality indicators.

# Returns storage in a sorting center

Payment for each day of products storage in the Ozon warehouse after the date on which the removal period established by the Contract expires:

  • on the 7th day of storage inclusive — 10 rubles (12 rubles with VAT) per day for the product;
  • from the 8th day of storage until the date of actual removal of the products from the warehouse by the seller — 15 rubles (18 rubles with VAT) per day for the product.

The cost of the flexible payment schedule service is 0.75% of the amount to be paid daily. Learn more about the service.

# In what cases Ozon does not charge fees for services and commissions or return previously held financial means

  1. Delivery more than 21 days. More than 21 days have passed since the shipment was sent. The shipment has not yet been delivered to the customer at the pick-up point, postamat or by courier.

    In case of delivery time more than 21 days, we do not charge: sales commission, order packaging or shipment processing, pipeline, last mile.

  2. Refund, non-purchase, cancellation or unclaiming for more than 60 days. More than 60 days have passed since the receipt of the return/non-purchase from the customer or the signal of cancellation. The shipment has not yet been delivered to the warehouse, is not waiting for the seller at the drop-off point, or has not been returned to the seller by courier.

    We do not charge: order packaging or shipment processing, pipeline, last mile, return pipeline, return/non-purchase/cancellation/unclaiming processing.

  3. Cancellation or return caused by Ozon. We return the product to the warehouse or prepare it for handover to the seller.

    You do not pay anything.

# FAQ

Is there a volumetric weight of the product in my account? Do I need to count it myself?

The system calculates the volumetric weight for each product based on its dimensions and weight automatically. You can see this value in your personal account in the list of products.

How will the new structure affect the sale of bulky products?

For bulky products, the current structure of the comissions for using Ozon Marketplace remains unchanged. If any changes are planned, we will inform you.

FBS: how do you calculate the volumetric weight, according to the dimensions of the package or product? I pack products in boxes that are much larger than the product itself. It turns out that I will greatly overpay

For the pipeline, we take into account the volume of the product, which is indicated on its page. But in any case, the packaging must be selected to fit the size of the products.

We calculate our own costs for the pipeline and the cost of the pipeline for the sellers based on how many shipments can fit in the car. If we have to carry half-empty boxes instead of products, the fee will have to be increased.

I have to inflate the dimensions of the product so that it will fit into the postamat. Or if I run out of the right packaging for the product, I will have to put it in a larger box. It turns out that I will overpay.

No, we count the pipeline cost by the dimensions that are indicated on the product page. But we advise you to make sure that you always have the packaging available for both small and large shipments.

When planning delivery to postamat, our system automatically compares the dimensions of the products in the shipment and the cells of the postamat. If the box is matched to the size of the products, it should fit into the cell without any problems.

Carefully selecting the packaging is also important because we calculate our own costs for the pipeline and the cost of the pipeline for sellers based on how many shipments can fit in the car. If we have to carry half-empty boxes instead of products, the fee will have to be increased.

What happens if the customer declines the order while the shipment is in transit?

If the customer declines the order, which is already on the way, we will not charge you the cost of the last mile — it simply will not be. But we will have to check the items before returning to our warehouse if you use FBO scheme, or return the items to you if you use FBS scheme. Therefore, you need to pay for the cancellation processing and the cost of the return tpipeline, if you use FBS scheme. The exception is cancellation and return caused by Ozon. Then you don't pay for anything.

FBO: If you send my product in the same shipment with other sellers' products, how will I pay?

You pay for each product separately at each stage: packaging, pipeline, last mile. If the customer refuses the order or does not purchase your product, we will not charge the cost of the last mile.

How can I manage my expenses if I do not influence where the product is ordered from?

We recommend you to deliver the products to the regional Ozon warehouses, in order not to pay for the pipeline. Soon we will add to Forecast of sales from Ozon warehouses information about which products and in what quantity are needed in each of the regions. If you supply products on time based on the report, we won't have to transport your products between regions.

So you can set up logistics without hurry, until the end of June, we will not charge FBO for the pipeline throughout Russia from any warehouse, except Moscow and Tver.

How do you round up the volumetric weight of the product?

We round up the volumetric weight of the product to tenths:

  • if the hundredth part is less than five — downwards;
  • if the hundredth part is greater than or equal to five — upwards.

For example, for a product weighing 5 kg and measuring 43x31x20 cm, the volumetric weight equals to 5,332 kg. We will charge the pipeline for 5.3 kg if we carry the products between regions.

FBO: if a customer orders my product, which is available in all warehouses, and another seller's product, which is available only in Moscow, will you take my product from Moscow and I will have to pay more?

No, in this case, we will divide the order into several shipments and take your product from the warehouse that is located closer to the customer.
